Urgo Optiskin Transparent Dressings, thanks to their polyurethane support, prevent water and bacteria from entering the wound, while allowing the wound to breathe, avoiding the risk of maceration.
Thanks to their transparency, they allow you to monitor the saturation of the compress and, consequently, better control the treatment of the wound. The non-adherent mesh format of the dressing allows it to be removed without pain.
How to Use
- Clean and disinfect the wound and, if necessary, stop the bleeding.
- Disinfect, rinse and dry the wound thoroughly.
- Rinse with saline and dry the wound edges with a sterile dressing.
- Open the sachet, then hold the patch by the two protective paper tabs.
- Carefully press the edges.
- The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days. Check that the individual sterile package is intact before use.
- Avoid tension when applying the dressing.
- Regularly check the wound or puncture points and the surrounding area for any signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, odor or unusual discharge.
Precautions
Do not use dressing on infected wounds or puncture points, bleeding wounds or wounds exuding large amounts of fluid. Not recommended for covering central line lines.
Single use? No, re-sterilize.
