- It can be used as a total or complementary diet in individuals with increased protein and caloric needs and/or who are malnourished:
- Decreased food intake associated with moderate to severe anorexia
- Chronic inflammatory processes (COPD) or infectious disease
- Cardiac or respiratory cachexia
- Surgical intervention after hip fracture in underweight individuals.
