Mode of Action
Preservision 3 is rich in vitamins and contains zinc, pigments from the carotenoid family (lutein and zeaxanthin) and omega 3 fatty acids.
Antioxidants (vitamins C, E and zinc) protect cells against free radicals. Zinc also contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are pigments from the carotenoid family, which are found in various foods, particularly in green vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, spinach.
Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) are essential for the body, which is unable to manufacture them, and must therefore be acquired through food. The main sources of omega 3 fatty acids are fatty fish (sardines, anchovies, salmon and others) and certain vegetable oils (rapeseed, walnut, soy and others).
The eye is rich in omega 3 fatty acids, especially DHA, which contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. This beneficial effect is obtained with a daily dose of 250 mg of DHA - 2 capsules of Preservision 3 contain 360 mg of DHA.
