IOB9 30 Capsules
IOB9 30 capsules , combines in a single daily dose 200 µg of Iodine (Potassium Iodide) and 400 µg of Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), the daily amounts recommended by the World Health Organization and the General Directorate of Health, in the preconception period, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones, the proper functioning of the thyroid and cognitive function and also participates in energy-yielding metabolism.
In turn, folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy, to the correct functioning of the immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue during pregnancy and lactation.
Folic acid also contributes to reducing the risk of neural tube malformations in the unborn fetus. In women of childbearing age, this beneficial effect is obtained through the daily intake of a 400 µg folic acid supplement, for at least one month before and three months after conception.
