Detailed Description

  • It heals the cold sore lesion, providing up to 12 hours of continuous treatment, by ensuring the adequate level of hydration of the wound, in order to heal quickly and significantly reduce the creation of scabs.
  • It works as a shield against the virus, reducing the risk of contagion.
  • It covers and protects the nerve endings that are exposed in the wound, resulting in pain and tingling relief.

Considerations

  • Lipstick or make-up can be applied over the dressing, further reducing the visibility of the lesion.
  • You can use the patch to treat the cold sore lesion at any stage of the outbreak. However, it is best to apply it at the first signs.
  • The dressing naturally comes off after approximately 8 hours and must be replaced with a new one.
  • Do not remove the dressing because you want the wound to "breathe". This is actually counterproductive and can prolong the healing process. It is clinically proven that keeping the dressing in place ensures that the ideal healing environment is maintained.
  • The dressing should be used 24 hours a day until the wound has healed.

How to apply the dressing

  • Wash the hands. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Do not use in combination with creams as the dressing may no longer adhere to the wound to provide the full benefits of the treatment.
  • Remove the applicator from the wrapper, holding the ends with both hands.
  • Gently pull the ends, according to the arrows on the applicator, until half of the adhesive zone is exposed. Be careful not to touch the adhesive area of the dressing.
  • Gently press down on the exposed half of the patch with a finger to place the patch firmly over the cold sore.
  • Slowly pull the tip of the applicator down and away from the skin in a gentle circular motion until the patch is released from the applicator. You can apply make-up or lipstick over the pad.

How to remove the bandage

  • If the dressing does not come off, there is no need to remove and change it. If the patch starts to come off the skin, it should be removed and replaced with a new one.
  • To remove the dressing, release it at the end.
  • Use both hands to hold the loose end of the dressing.
  • Stretch the dressing sideways, moving your hands apart as you peel it off.

Conservation

  • Store at room temperature (< 25°C), away from light and moisture.
