Sterile ophthalmic solution, indicated to lubricate and humidify the surface of the eye.

Opticol Ophthalmic Solution MD is an ophthalmic solution, consisting of 0.15% hyaluronic acid sodium salt, indicated as a transparent tear substitute.

Hyaluronic acid forms part of the constitution of numerous tissues in the human body.
This has the ability to adhere to the mucosa of the ocular surface, protecting it, humidifying and lubricating it.

Due to its mucoadhesive characteristics, it remains on the surface of the eye for a long period of time and stabilizes the tear film.

Protects, hydrates and lubricates the ocular surface, ensuring long-lasting relief from discomfort caused by:

• Mechanical stress: during and after wearing contact lenses or during surgeries or ophthalmic diagnostic procedures;
• Environmental stress conditions, caused for example by the action of air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution caused for example by cigarette smoke;
• Visual fatigue caused by using computers, microscopes or during prolonged use of vehicles.

No preservatives.

Ingredients:

Sodium hyaluronate, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydrogen phosphate, Sodium dihydrogen phosphate, Water for injections.

How to use:

• Separate a single dose and make sure the single dose is not damaged.
• Open the dispenser by progressively twisting the flat portion of the dispenser/cap (do not pull).
• Tilt your head back slightly, looking up, and pull your lower eyelid down. Apply 1 drop in the eye, 3 to 5 times a day, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Close the eye slowly to allow even distribution of the fluid on the surface of the eye.
• Can be applied to the eye while wearing contact lenses.

Precautions:

• Do not use the product if the single dose is damaged.
• Use only once, any solution not used immediately after opening the single dose must be discarded.
• If you are simultaneously using another ophthalmic solution/ophthalmic ointment, wait approximately 15 minutes between applying each product. Opticol should be administered last.
• Do not apply in case of infection or eye injury.
• The sharpness of vision may be temporarily reduced after application; do not drive or use machines until your vision returns to normal.
• Opticol contains phosphate buffer. In case of prolonged use and corneal dysfunctions, Opticol may lead to precipitation of calcium salts in the cornea.
